At Oasis for Hair we recently celebrated our 30th Anniversary.
We reached this landmark for any small business for one simple reason. The quality of the service and work we offer our customers. We know this is true because, as you'll see from the testimonials on this page ... they keep telling us!
The other thing they often tell us is, they love our promise which we proudly display on the front of the salon, where you can read the words ... “Because we listen and we care you can trust us with your hair.”
Now it might seem like an odd thing to be promising. We wouldn’t blame you if you believed the first thing every hairdresser would do is to ‘listen’ and 'care' but actually research suggests this isn’t the case at all.
In fact, when asked … the top two reasons people give for wanting to change their hairdresser is … “They didn’t listen ... and ... They took me for granted!”
The research also showed that not listening was only part of the problem, because 46% of those surveyed said they’d gone to their previous salon with the specific intention of having a new look, only to walk out with a trimmed version of what they went in with.
When the researchers probed to uncover the reason why they didn’t get their new look, the same answer came up time and time again … “my stylist never asked me if I wanted one!”
